    • 0.54mm

      Ultra-Small 0.54 mm Laser Beam

High-Speed 1,050 Hz Excimer
Laser for Faster Corneal Ablation

The high-speed 1,050 Hz laser shortens corneal ablation time,
helping reduce corneal drying and improve patient comfort during surgery while delivering precise and consistent treatment.

AMARIS RED Advantages

  • 7D Eye-Tracking System

Zero-delay eye tracking allows the laser to respond instantly to eye movements,
enhancing treatment accuracy and patient safety.

  • Predictive Eye Movement Analysis

Continuously monitors subtle eye movements and predicts motion
in real time for highly accurate laser delivery.

  • World's smallest Laser Beam

The ultra-precise 0.54 mm laser beam is 3.5 times smaller than conventional laser beams,
enabling exceptionally smooth and precise corneal resurfacing. The smaller beam size allows
for finer tissue ablation and more consistent treatment results.

A smaller laser beam enables smoother and more precise corneal treatment,
    contributing to greater treatment accuracy.

AMARIS All-Laser LASEK is designed to overcome the limitations of
conventional LASEK by performing the entire procedure with laser technology.
This advanced approach helps reduce patient discomfort and supports faster visual recovery.

SmartSurface
Advanced One-Step Laser Technology

SmartSurface precisely removes the superficial corneal layer with laser technology,
minimizing tissue stress while preserving the cornea's natural biomechanical stability.

SmartSurface uses high-precision laser technology
to create an exceptionally smooth corneal surface,
supporting faster postoperative recovery.

Even at high laser speeds,
SmartSurface maintains advanced thermal control
to minimize damage to the surrounding corneal tissue.

Main Features

  • No Direct Contact with the Eye

An advanced laser precisely removes the superficial
corneal layer without direct contact with the eye.

  • Shorter Procedure Time

    One-step vision correction with
AMARIS SmartSurface helps shorten the procedure time.

  • Designed to Minimize Tissue Trauma

Without flap creation, SmartSurface helps preserve corneal integrity,
supporting greater patient comfort and faster recovery.

Smart Pulse Technology (SPT):
3D Precision Laser Technology

SPT uses a 3D algorithm to calculate laser ablation points with exceptional precision.
Its advanced 3D algorithm closely matches the natural curvature of the cornea,
creating a smoother corneal surface that supports faster visual recovery.

  • SPT (3D Curvature-Matched)

  • Conventional 2D

Designed to calculate 3D laser ablation points that
closely match the natural curvature of the cornea,
delivering greater surgical precision.
Compared with conventional all-laser LASEK,
it minimizes the difference between planned
and actual corneal ablation, providing greater
surgical precision and safety.

At Gangnam Smile Eye Clinic, Smart Pulse Technology provides faster recovery,
less discomfort, and enhanced visual quality—representing a significant
advancement in laser vision correction.

Corneal Surface After Smart Pulse Treatment

  • Conventional Laser Systems

  • AMARIS Smart Pulse Technology

Advanced Technology for
Superior Visual Outcomes

  • Gas Cooling System

LASEK is considered a safer alternative to LASIK because it preserves more corneal tissue.
However, postoperative discomfort and a longer recovery period have traditionally been its main limitations.
To address these challenges, Gangnam Smile Eye Clinic utilizes an advanced
Gas Cooling System that cools the cornea throughout the procedure,
helping reduce inflammatory pain responses, minimize discomfort, and promote faster healing.

  • Mitomycin C Treatment

To reduce the risk of postoperative corneal haze and myopic regression following LASEK,
Mitomycin C is carefully applied during the procedure.
It helps regulate excessive epithelial cell proliferation during corneal healing,
reducing the risk of complications while promoting clearer, more stable long-term visual outcomes.

Personalized. Precise.
COWAVE 2DAY LASEK

Every eye has a unique corneal profile. By precisely analyzing each patient's corneal
topography, myopia, and astigmatism, we can deliver highly personalized vision correction.
Using the SIRIUS corneal analysis system, even the smallest irregularities of the cornea
can be detected. When combined with the AMARIS RED laser platform, this enables truly customized,
high-precision vision correction.

Benefits of COWAVE 2DAY LASEK

  • Faster Corneal Healing

Promotes faster corneal healing and shortens postoperative recovery.

  • Rapid Visual Recovery

Recover functional vision more than twice as quickly as with conventional LASEK.

  • Long-Term Visual Stability

Minimizes the risk of regression, helping maintain clear and stable vision over the long term.

Although conventional LASEK provides excellent initial visual
outcomes, some patients may experience myopic regression over time.
In contrast, COWAVE 2DAY LASEK at Gangnam Smile Eye Clinic provides
long-term visual stability and may be an excellent option for patients
who are not ideal candidates for conventional LASEK

Using advanced laser technology throughout the entire procedure,
both the corneal epithelium and stromal tissue are treated simultaneously with exceptional precision.
This approach reduces postoperative discomfort and promotes faster visual recovery.
Powered by the AMARIS RED laser platform, COWAVE 2DAY LASEK is supported by extensive
clinical research and has been presented at leading international ophthalmology conferences.

Stable Vision. Faster Recovery.

Up to 150% Greater Corneal
Strength with Corneal Cross-Linking

Collagen fibers, which serve as the structural framework of the cornea,
are interconnected to maintain the cornea's shape and strength.
Corneal Cross-Linking enhances the biomechanical stability of the cornea
by strengthening these collagen bonds. During SMILE, LASIK, or LASEK,
riboflavin (vitamin B2) is used to increase the bonding strength
of corneal collagen, thereby improving the biomechanical strength of the cornea.
Corneal Cross-Linking expands treatment options for patients with
high myopia, high astigmatism, thin or weak corneas,
or irregular corneal shapes who may not have been suitable candidates
for conventional LASIK or LASEK due to safety concerns.
By strengthening the collagen bonds within the cornea,
it enhances postoperative corneal stability and improves long-term surgical outcomes.

  • Advantages of Corneal Cross-Linking
    • Enhances Biomechanical Corneal Strength

    • Reduces Postoperative Regression

    • Enhances Corneal Strength

    • Helps Reduce the Risk of Postoperative Corneal Ectasia

    • Helps Reduce the Risk of Myopic Regression

    • Expands Treatment Options for Patients with
High Myopia, Thin Corneas, and Irregular Corneas

Corneal Cross-Linking

Process

  • Corneal Cross-Linking Procedure for LASIK and LASEK
    • Step 1
The cornea is reshaped using an excimer laser
as part of the LASIK or LASEK procedure.
    • Step 2
Riboflavin (Vitamin B2) is applied to the exposed corneal stroma.
    • Step 3
The corneal flap is repositioned, and the
      corneal surface is gently irrigated.
    • Step 4
As riboflavin (Vitamin B2) is absorbed into the cornea, it
strengthens the collagen fibers, increasing corneal strength.
    • Step 5
Ultraviolet (UV) light is applied to activate the
riboflavin and strengthen the corneal collagen.
    • Step 6
      The procedure is complete.
